My husband is 30 today!!  Thank God that my mother in law had him 30 years ago. :)   God has blessed me in five million ways in giving him to me !  He is one of the most precious most gracious, forgiving and loving men I have ever known!  Happy Birthday baby!!

Also, I am so thankful to very important women in my life – Mom and Laura. They continue to bless me even though I do not deserve it and I just wanted them to know how wonderful they are and how much they mean to me!  I cannot wait to get home and see them!!!! Thank you God for everything!!!!

busy busy

Since Uriah got home we’ve spent the day time shopping for my sister’s wedding – shopping for little things we need – running errands – then at night we get date time!  It’s been so nice to have him back!  I have tons to do today but I wanted to post this ….some friends of ours back home in NC are prego – she found out yesterday her baby has Trisomy 18.  I think it is called Edwards syndrome …anyways, the baby is a girl, they’ve named her Lilly – she isn’t born yet, but we’re praying for her little body – praying she’ll be able to give her parents so much joy by living when she is born.  However, we’re thankful her soul will be in Heaven  if the Lord’s will doesn’t allow that.  Here’s a video I happened to stumble on ….gives you a little perspective of Trisomy 18.

Praying for Lisa H. today and her family -

Sorry…

My phone has been off since Uriah got here. :)   Will return all the phone calls this weekend!!

A sigh of relief…

My husband is home!!!

Monica Rae

Today I am really really thankful for Mon!  We met 8 1/2 years ago and we’re friends to this day – through thick and thin. Literally – she’s put up with me for that long. :)   There are times when God puts a friend there to teach you lessons, sometimes hard ones – sometimes really fun ones -  I think we’ve both been that to each other.  I am overwhelmed with thankfulness to God that He saw fit to put her in my life!

What a good start to my day…

We woke up at 630 – the house is so cool because we had a cool front come through so last night it got down to 65 (it will be back up to 90 today tho) – I have vanilla creamer for my coffee – and as I surf the web for a flower girl dress for the big wedding coming up, my kids are singing the Doxology and Seek Ye First.  Lovin’ my life!!

Cute stories

My son is hilarious – he told me when you’re tired and you yawn and stretch it gets the tireds out.  he says it “gets the tired germs out!”  So therefore when he yawns he is not tired. :)

Last night I was kinda lonely so I wouldn’t let my kids go to bed… lol  I kept bribing them to watch a movie with me – they both said “Mom, we HAVE GOT to go to bed, this is rediclous!”  Notice the rediculous – they keep the u out. It’s so cute.

I read this in my spurgeon devotional book this morning and I loved it -

“By honor and dishonor, by evil report and by good report, by plenty and by poverty, by joy and by distress, by persecution and by peace, by all these things is the life of your soul maintained, and by each you are helped on your way.  Oh think not believer that your distress are out of God’s plan; they are necessary parts of it.  ‘we must through much tribulation enter the kingdom’ Learn then, even to ‘count it all joy you fall into diverse temptations’”  O let my trembling soul be still, and wait thy wise and holy will, I cannot Lord, your purpose see, Yet all is well since ruled by Thee.”  -”He lead them by the right way” Psalm 107:7

I have so so so much to do today – I should finish my coffee quickly and get off my comp!!

Without Uriah….it’s chaos.

I don’t know what is wrong with me – it’s been one huge thing after another here!  To give you an example…on the way to Vegas – Megan, Bailey (her daughter) my kids and I were in Megans suv.  It’s the only thing that would fit all three car seats.  This is also a fairly new car – it breaks down!  At an intersection!  So we rented a car for the weekend….there’s the preface….now here’s the annoying part. Today we had to pick up Megan’s suv from the car shop then take my rental to drop it off ….I dropped the rental off and we all piled back into the suv.  It’s about a 45 minute drive home – after I get home I realize I don’t have the keys to my car here or anything else!  WHERE ARE MY KEYS?!  So I panic and call the rental company …he says “Ma’am, we’ve transferred the car to another enterprise, you’ll have to call them.”  So I do. The next guy says “Ma’am, we already rented the car out.  uhhh  I don’t know what to do.  Let me call the customer and see if they’re there.”  Ten minutes later I get a call confirming the customer did have my keys and was about 2 hours from my house!  Enterprise was so amazing – they talked the guy into going BACK to mesa and dropping the keys off….I got the kids back into the car and drove 45 minutes to retrieve my stupid keys.

Here’s another example. I just mailed several things and as I put them in the community mail box thingy that you cannot break back into, I realize none of the envelopes are addressed!  AHHHHHHHHHH

I’m not even going to worry about my house getting cleaned today ….I’d end up pouring milk in the washer or some bizarre thing!

Morning and Evening by Spurgeon is one of my favorite books – it’s easy, simple and it doesn’t take very long – and it’s super convicting and so hopeful!  Today is on 1 John 2:6 – “So to walk even as He walked.”  He talks about imitating Christ brings so much happiness!  I’m loving the start to today! :)

My sweet son got over heated this past weekend and is still having a little bit of trouble. He doesn’t have a fever today and he’s drinking gatorade so we’re on the up and up – poor kid was so miserable over the weekend.

Uriah gets home the middle of next week – it’s going to be a little boring around here without him!  We miss him already!

A terrific article every parent should read!
