Once you have flat pancake thingys you add cheese, lunch meat and any kind of veggies you want. Fold it up like a burrito and cook on a pan on 350 until everything is hot and melted.
It’s an easy breakfast and great for taking on the road!
Top Five Things I’m thankful for today: My Son’s belly laugh, My daughter’s sweet disposition, My husband’s help with so many little things like taking out the trash, the fun texts I get from my family and really fun music to make cleaning the house more fun. A lesson I learned from my mom a long time ago.
I was thinking today of if I had to work – if women are helping their husbands by working I’m in noo way saying they’re wrong – but if I did have to get a job, how difficult it would be to stay content in that. I love love love being with my kids – even when they get on my nerves sometimes!! – there’s just no other job I’d ever want to have. Uriah and I never really talked about how I’d stay home with my kids – it just happened. We both assumed it – I’m so thankful I have a husband who assumed he’d take care of me and the kids and never put me in the position of being unhappy.
The kids are doing great – playing outside a lot today! It’s been so hot lately they’ve wanted to stay in a lot but I think they got desperate. School is also going really well – the kids learn things SO incredibly fast.
Ok, kids need quiet time ….gotta run!
We are having company over tomorrow after church – I haven’t really asked anyone to come over due to the 45 minute drive. Last week we spent all day Sun with this one couple that we just got along with so well – so tomorrow they’re coming over for Pork Loin with apricot sauce, grilled bacon wrapped asparagus, salad, french bread, wine and dessert! It’ll be a fun day!
Kiddos are doing great – Soldier is now in Karate! He LOVES it – he got his uniform and it is so stinken cute! I can’t believe how big they are – everyday they fill me with so much happiness it’s rediculous.
This year I’m so thankful we have a lot to look forward to – it gets kinda lonely out here – we are going to Moscow Idaho in a month for Susanna’s wedding. In October my family plans to come visit us and November Uriah’s brother Jon and his new wife Heather are planning on coming for Thanksgiving! I’m so so happy about that – we miss our family a lot!!! I’m so excited to show off everything to my parents especially -
Hilarious
Somehow my kids and I started talking about Hell. Naomi wanted to know what it was like…the conversation went like this….
Naomi: “Mom, what is Hell like?”
Me: “It’s REALLY hot, there’s fire everywhere and no matter what you say or do you cannot get out!”
Soldier: “What do the cops keep you tied up there or something like Dave Warren?”
Me: “uhh….I guess it’s kinda like that.” – thinking what the heck do i say??!
Naomi: “But if we obey God we don’t go there, right?”
Me: “Yes, that’s right”
Soldier: “Well I’ll make sure to bring a knife in my pants so they won’t see it so I can cut the rope and get out then cut the ropes for Mimi!”
Me: “blankly staring”
Naomi: “But if we obey God we don’t have to go, soldier!”
Me: “Yes Naomi is right!”
Soldier: “Well I’ll make sure to take a couple of knives and a gun and hide them so when they tie me up I can cut the rope, shoot the bad guys, and get NAomi out!”
Me: “I really wish God would tell me what to say right about now”
Naomi: “As long as I don’t lie or disobey Mommy I won’t GO SOLDIER!”
Soldier: “Well I’ll take two knives, a gun and maybe some rope of my own so when I cut the ropes and shoot the guys and get Naomi out maybe if another guy comes I can tie him up….”
Me: “K, we won’t get to take guns and knives if we go to hell….but we aren’t ….cause we’re going to obey God…”
Naomi “Yep I’ll obey God and I won’t Go….You hear me soldier?”
Soldier: “Well I will make sure I hide my gun and knives and rope ….”
Me: “K, we’re done talking about Hell. Let’s play Hide and Sink.”
Hide and Sink
my son calls hide and seek “hide and sink!” He LOVES this game – anyways, tonight he’s just falling apart tired – so when I said no we aren’t going to play tonight he said (while crying!) “Ok, I’ll just hide and find myself, then!”
