some pics of the kiddos for my mama…

Henderson is actually the town we are in – and wow!  It’s amazing here – one of the pools is just fantastic so the kids have had a blast.  It’s 6 and they’re bathed and in bed though because they’re so worn out from the heat. :)   The hotel is just amazing – www.loews.com  If you care to look at it!

Tonight Jon and Megan are going out for a date – leaving Bailey with us – then tomorrow night Uriah and I will go out and leave our kiddos with them!  It’ll be our first date in months – I’m so so pumped!

Wow…

This kid is 12!

Off to Vegas with Uriah until Monday…..

My son is 5!  Yesterday was his birthday!  I am so so thankful for him and his always happy personality!!!!  He makes me so very happy…

Thankful

This is my Mom on the right and my little sister Alexandra.  Today I am so so thankful for both of them, but esp my mom!  See the shirt she’s wearing in the pic??  That day I drove down to Fuquay to go to this fun fun thrift store that we all love – Alex watched my kids – and I got in the car with mom and she said “We’re going to Cato instead!” she spent over 100 bucks on me – I got a shirt just like the one she’s wearing. :)   My mom is like that – she knows of a need of one of her daughters and she does whatever she can to help!  She not only has a full time job having us girls and Theo but she also really does have a full time job!  Somehow she does it all – today I’m just so thankful for my mom and her cheerful spirit, her loving heart and her willingness to always always serve her children and husband!

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!  I love you with all my heart!!  :)

Cute kids

This week has been really tiring trying to get my house unpacked and deal with my kiddos (who have been sick btw!)  by myself.  Yes i know I only have two kids …still… ;)   Anyways, there have been little highlights through this week.   This part isn’t the highlight – but our friend Tyler Cross plays lacrosse – Soldier has always adored Tyler!!! – anyways, he got injured and had to be taken to the hospital.  I explained what happened to Soldier and said “you should pray for him!” So he close his eyes immediately and said “God, please helps those boys who hit tyler with their lacrosse sticks to go away and please help him have fun on the way to the hospital.”  lol  And now he’s playing lacrosse in my house …hearing this story got him goin I guess.

Today I went with a girlfriend to the store – while we were in line waiting to pay Soldier saw this woman behind us who had extra large lips and eyes.  So he had to let his sister know!  He says (quite loudly!) “MIMI look at that woman behind us with the HUGE LIPS and EYES!  wow!”  I have never paid so fast …I was horrified!

I’ve gone to bed by 830 every night – I’m worn out. I think a lot has to do with the sun – we’re outside a lot going to the parks in the neighborhood, etc – I sit and read while they play and you can literally smell your skin getting tan. lol I love it! Naomi has the cutest little tan – and bright blonde hair – it’s getting super blonde being in the sun.

My kids are so funny!  Seriously, hilariously funny!!  Is that a word?  Anyways, Naomi LOVES to brush her hair, to put on pretty dresses and wear cute cute shoes – she’s so so girly!  She loves to do all this and come to me and ask how pretty she looks.  She has Soldier trained as well.  She asked him “Soldier, am I pretty?” and he said “nope!” She gave him a look to kill and he said “oh i mean yes you are mimi…”  lol

We are super super busy all the time – I love it!  I just finally got our garage cleaned out today so we can put our car in there. I realize how garages are necessities here – that or remote starters so your car can run the air conditioner for a while before you get in.  Trying to get two kids into car seats that are insanely hot = disaster.  Started a little bit of school… I’m really nervous about homeschooling.  I’m not the biggest fan of homeschool but I’m not paying an arm and a leg for them to learn their ABC’s and cut up paper.

Uriah’s in San Diego for the week so tonight a book and the tv are going to entertain me …I love tbs! :)

My backyard – the sun going down – I can’t get enough of this scenery here!!  It’s fantastic!!
