After a week in Indiana – we made it home (15 hour drive!!) and we all got sick. So Monday through today we’ve been pretty miserable – today Uriah made it to work and I am finally unpacking our suitcases. Thankfully it was just a terrible cold/cough thing and not the flu or something. It was amazing to see Jon and Heather get married – I teared up a lot during that wedding – Heather looked unbelievable! I’ll post pictures later -
My sister is ENGAGED! I can’t believe it – makes me feel so old! I just ordered my bridesmaid dress from JCrew. I thought that was such a fun choice – the price was great AND I’ll get to use the dress again because it isn’t something that is so fancy you won’t ever wear it. So, I’m pumped! I can’t wait to meet the guy who won my sister’s heart …he must be pretty amazing!
The kids get to have the Chaney kids over tonight – they’re so excited they can’t talk about anything else! That’s pretty much the gist of everything here …miss all you Gunn/Johnson/Park/Rogers/Myers peeps!!!
I am realizing how unorganized all my closets are in the house – I have to take everything out and paint then put everything pack – it’s taking forever because I’m going through everything trying to organize it all. Kind of a pain!!
It snowed again yesterday – I helped make my first snow man. hehe I’m so glad I live in the south – I can’t take the snow weather for long.
Late last night Soldier woke up with knee pains – he ended up waking Naomi up due to his freakishly loud crying. So she came and sat in bed with him while I rubbed his knees – anyways, they had this conversation that made me laugh, even if it was midnight. Naomi said “Mom, I have this terrible bug bite on my face!” (it was actually a tiny little red spot, but on her perfect skin it was upsetting I guess) Soldier said “Did you SEE the bug bite you?” Naomi said “No, but I have the bite on my face!” Soldier said “So you saw it while you were sleeping??? hmm” And Naomi replied with “No, but I SEE the bite!” Soldier then said “well I SAW my knees hurting and I looked at them and said ‘knees! you are FIRED from this job!’ ” At this point I died laughing.
I love my kids!
I found a pair of Juicy Couture sweats at the thrift store for two bucks – they didn’t fit me so I listed them on ebay – just sold them for 28 bucks! Love it!!
Today has been a rough day for the kids – I think it’s the gloomy weather outside. Either way I managed to get two big closets emptied out, painted – two coats – then everything put back in – organized! I was pretty proud of myself.
Onto my energy drink and making dinner…
Soldier’s story…
I heard him telling Naomi a story …”One day the superman guy was out on a firetruck saving the world! And Belle was at home saving the animals!”
lol
I am packing already for our 13 hour trip to chicago! Somehow with two kids I always have to pack a TON. Being without a washer and dryer much of that week also makes a difference. We will be driving up to Virginia and staying in the snowy mountains on Monday then Tues morning -as early as possible! – start the drive up. One week with family will be so so nice!!
