One room down – a lot more to go. Crown molding was put up and painted, a new door was installed and painted, the room has been painted Grey – which btw, looks awesome! – all of this is really due to Uriah. I haven’t been much help – but my excuse is raising kids.
Naomi’s new word is “accinent.” How cute is that? “I’m sorry I hurt you Soldier, it was an accinent!”
This is going in the baby book…
Last night after Soldier got in bed I went and climbed in with him for a couple minutes. He put his arm around me and said “Mom, you’re my girl.” He can’t say his r’s – how sweet is that??? Love that kid.
In memory of Pepper…
I can remember as a kid my sister and I had two cats. Calvin and Luther. My parents named them – once I was a teenager I figured out why. Anyways, as was our luck with all of our animals, they died. Calvin got hit by a car – I was crushed. I even prayed God would fix my sad heart. After that we had so many cats die in different ways. Then we got a dog. I hated him but my sisters loved him. He also died. He got hit by a car. My sisters were devastated. My sister just lost her dog – I am praying for her today, I remember how sad it is to loose a pet.

Funny Sayings…
Soldier just said to me “MOM! Do you smell this house we’re in? It smells SO SO GOOD. It smells like pizza!” I don’t know if that’s a good thing that my house smells like pizza ….but I’m glad my son thinks so.
Naomi told me if we have another baby (no i’m not pregnant!) she will only hold it if it’s a girl – the boy can be held by Soldier.
I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for a really good pizza crust – usually Trader Joe’s has the best – but if you’re in a pinch I’ve found that pita bread works wonders! I broiled it for a little bit with some olive oil – put some pesto and veggies covered in cheese on top – broil a little more….it is soo tasty!
Update
The house is under extreme renovation . Too bad Ty Pennington isn’t here to do it!! Then it’d be free!
My husband who has never had any experience hanging up crown molding – is putting it up in my entire house! It looks fabulous! It’s crazy that I have such a handy man – sometimes I can’t believe the projects he takes on when he doesn’t know how – he learns fast! We’re also painting – today my project will be to move everything in my bedroom (it’s huge) to the middle of the room and clean baseboards, etc. so we can paint it Grey. We’ll be sleeping in the guest room for a couple days….Naomi’s room is dark Red – actually called “Salsa” so that’s next. A lot to do over the next couple months!!
Tonight I get a night off, which will be fun! Shelley and I are going to the movies to see “Extraordinary Measures” with Harrison Ford. I’m pumped! Dinner and a movie with a friend is always good!
The kids are doing great! Learning more and more everyday which is a little scary. Until we move to Moscow one day and the kids are in logos (Lord willing) I’m their teacher. I’m not a very good one so thank goodness for people around me to help!
