Thankful for this today…
If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
Matthew 6:14-15
Christmas Eve!
We’re getting the celebrations started with a pedicure – hehe, yes, a fun gift from my husband! Then we have a lot of company coming over tonight for a big dinner right after Christmas Eve service! Merry Christmas, Everybody!
A little piece of Heaven…
I honestly believe that the Lord gives us little tastes of Heaven – so we know what we have to look forward to.
Today, we went to church, came home to a huge feast – now we’re having wine and chocolate fudge. Between my kids, my husband and my cozy warm home, this is my little piece of Heaven.
Quilting is my new favorite thing! I bought a bunch of squares off of ebay – turned out they were SO stinken cute I want more for Christmas! I made the cutest quilt throw type thing for my couch – and it was SO simple! I am amazed how much fun I’m having sewing, quilting and knitting! Anyways, I found some REALLY cute ideas and tips on this website ….check this out!! I can’t wait to get some new material to make the burp cloths!
Quick Tip…
Honey Baked Hams are some of THE best hams you will ever taste! Terrific for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners! Anyways, they sell their ham bones – yes, the bone with some meat on it – for cheap! Today they were 7.99, buy one get one free – there’s quite a bit of meat on one! Can easily make ham sandwiches for my family for one meal then use the bone to cook with beans for another! If you have a Honey Baked Ham in town…you should definitely check it out!
Funness
Thanks to Shelley, I have learned to keep an eye out for certain things at yard sales. Like, calphalon pots and pans. Rothschild coats. Certain brands resale really well. I went to one yard sale where she had a Rothschild coat with matching hat – she had ten and I offered 7 – she took it. I listed it on ebay and sold it for 40 bucks. It’s not a lot but it’s fun to shop at yard sales and it’s also fun to have something like this to do everyday. It’s always fun to make money, too!
Thanksgiving Menu was really fun to create! We had Uriah’s older brother, Ben and family, as well as a family in our church who has three kiddos, and my neighbor. So all in all we had a big crowd!! Around a huge table we ate Ham, Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potato casserole, green bean casserole, a huge Greek Salad and homemade rolls – I got a lot of help from Kara who made the stuffing, this amazing pumpkin dip for appetizer and wine! We were really spoiled – and very thankful for our friends and family here to celebrate Thanksgiving with us!
