Little Conversations

I tuned into a conversation just in time to hear Soldier saying “I’m sorry Mimi!” and Mimi saying back to him “No, I’m sorry!”  Again, Soldier re emphasizes that he’s sorry and Naomi says “I’M SORRY!”  Soldier then says “Yeah you’re sorry!” and Naomi replies with “No way, YOU’RE sorry!”

I need to be more creative…

One of Soldier’s favorite things to do in the morning is run outside and chase all the crows in the backyard.  He gets his energy out, his need to growl at the top of his lungs and the ugly birds are chased out so it all works well.  Anyways, one night I was tucking him in and he begged me for a story – I was so tired I really wanted to skip it but he’s just so darn cute it’s so hard to say no. So I sat down and began this story – keep in mind I am NOT creative when it comes to stories – basically the general idea was a dragon (of course) who ate all frogs and every night would hunt for them until it was morning – then he would sleep and dream about frogs. Soldier is obsessed with frogs lately.  So after a couple minutes of describing the dragon’s life I explained that he met a bright blue frog (we saw one of these recently…it was so pretty!) and became his friend…blah blah. You get the point.  So then it was Soldier’s turn to tell the story. I already knew from his impatience with mine that he was unhappy with mine and would probably be re-doing it.  Sure enough.  His story was about a Dragon that ate frogs but killed them in different ways before he ate them.  Then he met a blue frog and became his friend but taught the blue frog how to kill other frogs.  The dragon growled a lot in this story too.  At the end he said “ok….don’t tell another story mom…goodnight.”  I guess I officially stink at telling good boy stories.  lol

Updating Finally

Hmm…it’s been a while!!!

Yesterday was Naomi’s 3rd birthday!  I now have two 3 year olds for a month and a half.  ha!  We celebrated by opening a couple presents – I made her a CUTE purple dress (her favorite color…she’s like Aunt Mon!) and she woke me up begging to put it on.  Anyways, we then spent the day getting some things done. Granny, Aunt alex and Theo came to visit. They brought presents and candy!  Then my sweet husband took us to Red Robin for dinner, where Mimi got her chicken fingers and fries.  hehe  After the kids went to bed URiah and I celebrated her birthday with some really good wine. ;)   It was called Little Black Dress – we loved it.

I’ll post some pictures later!
